Aiyanna, your poem was such a beautiful reflective piece. I appreciated the lines about the clock without its tick to showcase how time can feel like forever, but then it’s not. Thank you for sharing your work.
Yes. I completely understand. I thrive nonverbally through performing poetry, but it is very challenging for me to write it. I tell people…God gives me the words. I share the message.
I have extreme difficulty expressing my emotions verbally, but poetry frees me in a way nothing else can. I haven’t done a live read yet, but it’s something I am looking forward to (when I muster up the courage 🙂

Wow, Rebecca! The ending of your poem struck a chord with me. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what we say. It does matter what we do. Thank you for this reminder. Thank you for sharing your work.
Cierra, I appreciate how your poem felt like a rollercoaster with twists and turns, but then it finally reached a destination of peace with God. The last line stuck out to me the most….For it is only for me to understand. That was a very profound statement. Thank you for sharing your work.
Jamell, this poem is exactly what is going on in the world today. I believe it is a huge culprit of why social relationships are falling apart all around us. All of us in some way need a human connection, but we have to choose to be open and honest about how we feel. Thank you for sharing your work.
Thanks so much Tracy, you’re accurate in all that you’re saying. There’s just so many things going on with us as human beings. I have moments where I write deeper poems that makes us all think.

Ricardo, your poem was creative by including multiple-choice answers. It gave the reader a chance to make a choice, which I appreciate. Thank you for sharing your work.
