  • Work Smarter, Not Harder

If it’s taking too long, then just move along.
If it’s not flowing on its own, then just leave it alone.
If it doesn’t feel natural, then it’s time to be factual.
If it requires force, then ditch it, of course.
I’m not telling you that you should lose heart.
I’m simply suggesting you choose a fresh start.
Take a deep breath and start anew.
Life can be tough, but so are you.

  • Authenticity

Living your authentic self is being true to who thou art
True to your core and true to your heart
True to the real you that dwells deep within
Not to the opinions of others that try to seep in
For you are the one living THIS life
Claim it, own it, and let it take flight

Place high value on the qualities that make you special
Standing tall in your truth as you own what is yours is your vessel
Embrace the differences that set you apart from others
Apologize not to those who act as your judges

Meeting the expectations of others is par for the course
Why not stand for what you truly believe and use your voice
    Genuine, real, certified, and true
All are qualities that authenticate you

    Portray your authentic self
It should be as natural as taking a breath
You weren’t meant to fit in a box constructed by others
    You are you
A one-of-a-kind and like no other

  • Special Note:

Here is a message I would face death for-
If I could deliver it to an open-minded world.
Whereas Christ came to save sinners like me,
Of whom I beg to differ-that myself is the chief.
    Four times Gospel=Good News
A spiritual hospital for souls with the blues!
Exciting, Vibrant, Exploding Truth for you…
No matter who you are-it applies to you!
He tells us how to be safe, to be free!
Jesus’ own words, “Come follow me”.
heavy loads made light-shining in the dark of night,
He has the same path for all-come to His Grace for Life!
Telling Perfect Truth from beginning to end,
Though there’s no such with Him-He is eternal Friend!
Let Him, let Him, let Him
Remove doubt, strife, and fear of things-
With Him you can/will be happy to win,
Watch Him fulfill your every dream!
    May take some time-Relationships grow,
He (Jesus) is the Perfect One to know!
And knowing Him is Perfect Peace,
Not knowing Him is no Peace at all-
Because He is the Prince of Peace to all!
Never can any take His place-
Come for Salvation, where all our wrongs are erased!
    …Yes-Jesus saves!
    I’ve learned a 45 year lesson,
At Camp Neosa as a kid,
But I was a mad kid-
I’ll bury my treasure in the ground, said I…
Could not this message that I hid-even give a try?
It is Perfect-will not trespass any,
And those who find it are not many.
So share we will-the Living Water spill…
    Into the souls-so thirsty drought-
Sharing saving faith-to receptive hearts on route!

Then never can the dark prevail!

    God Bless you!!!

Subtitle: Somebody Loves You Baby 💙 ✨

If I had to pick one thing I’d want the whole world to know — above all else — what would it be ?

That — Somebody loves you baby—
    So please believe —

That when you look around — you’ll be able to see

That — that somebody — can be found — in many forms, shapes & sizes

That — He Is — not limited — to the only world — you & I both — reside in

Let me put it down for you — in the easiest way — that I know how

He comes in the shape of — a parent, a brother, or a sister

A nephew, a niece, your child, or a stranger

He comes in the shape of — a weeping willow tree
That some how — even with it’s sad — drooped down leaves — can manage to put ur heart at ease — as they sway back and forth in the breeze

Or even — when simply — standing still

He comes in the shape of that blue bird
Who reminds you — of ur loved one — who passed away last year

In the shape of those beautiful — white butterflies — flapping away — at the grave yard

In the shape of that — loyal golden doodle — you tend to feed — way too much

You can find him in the sunflower field — Late September

Or the beautiful sunset & sunrise — Come November

You can see him — in the waves of the ocean — as they roll & roar

As they come to say Hi — before they drift away — once more

I’d want you all to know — that somebody loves you more — than you could ever imagine

But pls — don’t try to fit him in a box — with it’s four corners & think that — that’s it — that’s him

He’s not limited to the highest iq
that can be reached inside our human minds — today

He knows every atom in our body —
The building blocks — from which were made of

We — on the other hand — on this side of heaven
Will never fully know — or understand Him

He’s all beautiful things we see
And — all beautiful things — unseen

He’s all the colors of the rainbow —
& all colors yet — to be named — or made up

He’s the beautifulest language — ever spoken
& All good words — we have yet — to add to our vocab

He’s the Beginning & The End
    The Alpha & The Omega
The great I AM — Yah – Weh

He’s all things Great & all things Good

There’s a lot of things — I’d want the whole world to know —

    — but if I had to narrow it down & put it down for you — in simplest form

    I’d say— this —

The world is not Black & White
    & neither — is HE

He’s the creator of the universe
    & he loves both — you — & me

But if I must say — just — ONE — Only one —single thing — it’d be ….

    Somebody Loves You Baby 💙✨
    — please believe …

  • Better Together

    Death looms all around us
from our first moment of existence,
    at life’s coalescence,
    it shrouds our very essence,
like breath rides with the wind.
    Eighteen funerals in a decade,
    remembering those lost lives lived.
I find it ironic it’s called a wake,
since they’re never to awaken again.
Being Earth-side is hard and fleeting,
we’re all just trying to survive
until the day that every single one of us
    will eventually, inevitably die.
    Accidents and illness,
    people vicious and malicious,
aging bodies growing old and weary,
with tired minds and over-worked spines,
    usher infinite possible endings
to this time we’re merely renting
animating stories out of our control, really.
So we need to lead with love,
and remember to take care of one other.
    A dollar, a meal, a blanket, a hug,
a conversation or sharing some of your luck,
    these little considerations
    have wide reverberations
    that make us humans driven
    towards connection and expansion,
a purpose forged in our blood.
    It’s the humanity in humanity
    that saves us from insanity
and provides direction on our journeys
as we crawl through life in a hurry,
    wherein mortality we find unity,
    walking each another home unjudged.

  • Rain

Remember change is necessary for growth
It can rain all day but prone to flower’s survival
The heat of the sun will come again
And the rain will have already sucked in
    More buds
More roots will spread again to make something even more beautiful
Trees die but new ones are planted
You can put your seed in whatever is necessary and good for you
And if not, you can pick it up and plant it elsewhere
Make a new, cozy home for it
    Protecting it at all costs
    Living with the peace
    Focusing on the good
    Releasing the bad
Don’t let bad roots stay intertwined in your mind
Release them, cut them, do whatever you need to do
Otherwise you will stay stuck and broken
Clouding what is the greatness of life

    • Rachel, I loved reading your words about change being a necessary part of growth. Personally, I hate change. I like to stick to my routine, even when it isn’t working for me. You inspire me to forget my fears and plant my seed where it will grow stronger. Just because it may be somewhere different doesn’t mean it is bad. Thank you for sharing!

    Unseal the Appreciation:

My poem has read, last in line…
“I have no worth in mine own eye”.
Weather burned me-early age to start,
Cannot I see the lie of this part?
…And even think to give love a try
Before bitter I sink to death and die?
For if I have not to respect myself,
How can I ever comfort anyone else?
No matter the cause-No matter the reason
I need not to know-Just believe new season!
Have not I to grow 45 years old?
For that is what turned me 2 days ago…
If 40 years old I was at age 12,
Then where now alive am I on the shelf?
Need not to know that either-Rather good to exist…
Regardless of child-hood lost and missed.
Feelings of mine-I think matter not,
When I can still find a caring/sharing spot.
Nor how, I don’t know-But feel love in the air,
Though I’ll not steal it-belonging to someone fair.
For if this gift I ever can find,
I’ll no longer be pissed-When good is mine!
Forgetting the past-a job easily not done
When 40 years masked-this hatred was dumb!
Good people say I matter, every life there is
Can no longer get sadder-Because Optimism lives!
Many lessons learned, to build my neighbor up,
As when I care for mine own self…
Love overflows-and clean is the cup!

    Thank You The Unsealed!!!

Suppressed inconsistencies. Unmatched premonition of self loathing and overwhelming destress. Patience steers the wheel of evolution and science fiction. Within belief I’m stricken. Pulsating convictions with immediate results. Camera shy actions of an insult. Take in criticism like a daily vitamin, with self love as your kryptonite and effective communication as a weapon of might, so use it wisely knowing that patience is working in your favor and is usually reciprocated, allowing for forgiveness which frees you from the intercepting vengeance of bondage, while building character, for joy should be effortless, so don’t just exist, live. 🫶🏿

    Midnight Solace

In the darkness, I’m alone, floating on a cloud of dreams,
where reality blurs and paints a picture of my mind dancing freely,
    taking solace in the emptiness,
    escaping the inevitable
to a void where struggles on all fronts
    dissolve.

To a single adult like me,
    name any struggle you’re facing
and I can likely tell you
that I was there before coming here.
Still gonna be waiting for me
for when I get back though.

God, it was serene, the feeling,
like being wrapped in a cozy blanket
    on a cool night in your bed;
while your worries melted like butter
    into a fleeting absence.

    And when there’s night,
    there’s day,
and like the sun in the world,
yours will rise again in your mind,
    which reminds me of
the one thing I always loved about
    the darkness,
because in it there’s nothing there,
    no light to illuminate
    any harsh reality
    or truth
    waiting to cause havoc in
    your heart and mind.

And if it were up to me,
I’d manifest my thoughts into a person,
    and kill it
so my mind can finally have peace.

I’d stay in the darkness forever,
    if that meant being free.

    Just One More Chapter

(I was inspired to write this just now at 11:34pm 8/27/24)
In the past, society has deemed mental health as a crisis or a “stigma” and if women showed any form of mental health issues, we were sanctioned to an asylum to live out the rest of our days. Some men as well. But, in 2024, mental health is still frowned upon. “Oh, what, in your life is so bad?” “No one will believe you.” “Your depression is just you being lazy.” etc…I have had the immense pleasure of working in the mental health field off and on for a very long time and I fall in love more every time I go back. It is not wrong to ask for help with your mental health. Forget about what your friends and family will say. Forget about what social media and film and television say about it. Just do not think for one moment that you do not deserve to be here. And every time you think you will end it all, remember, I am here for you, as are hundreds of others and think to yourself: “just one more chapter.”

Picture this. An 18 year old, high school senior being tasked to come up with a senior quote before they graduate. Seems pretty easy, right? Well, imagine you are an 18 year old senior in high school whose mind never stops creating stories, poems, and letters. My senior quote literally popped into my head on the way to school one morning. And I live by it every single day.

  • My First Act Of Repentance

Thinking back, it feels so surreal
Almost like that time in my life wasn’t real…
A young hurting heart, full of anger and hate
Yet also consumed by this hollow emptiness
A hardened stone beating in my chest
Living in a constant state of unrest
    Man… I really was a mess…
A suicidal teen ready to accept my fate
Chasing after anything to escape the feeling
Only for it to fester, internally reeling
    Washing down pills with liquor
Til my head would hit the floor, and I’d watch the lights flicker…
Using cocaine to ease the pain
    Opiates to go numb
And ecstasy to free myself from the mass of misery I’d become
What started as a release and a way to “let loose”
Became my form of self abuse
As scars on the skin are hard to hide…
    Tho for a time I tried….
Suicide was something I didn’t just think about, but began to idolize
Cursing God that I’d ever been born
    I’d look in the mirror at the thing I despised;
The kind and gentle kid, who’s heart had been tattered and torn
The misfit who just wanted to belong
    Downtrodden by this worlds scorn
Til he believed everything about his existence was wrong
I saw myself as less than nothing
Not even a person, only a husk of a man
Wanting to just fade from memory
    To set myself free
    I started formulating plans
    To finally end the suffering
    In a moment of desperation
    I made a proclamation
To the very God that I cursed
    Putting down the knife
Telling Him I’d give Him one opportunity to do whatever He wanted to do with my life…
My wounds He started to nurse
His Spirit touched the depths of my soul
And for the first time, I was whole
The healing process was fast but slow
As I had to face my hurt, and learn what it is to forgive and let go
I learned that this heart I was belittled for
    Is something Christ truly adores
    The drugs lost their appeal
As they couldn’t compare to the wholeness His presence made me feel
There was nothing of myself that earned His love and acceptance
But only by accepting the covering of Christ’s blood and receiving His mercy
    Was I truly set free
And that night was my turning point, my first act of repentance

    caused tremendous erosion
    of my essence
leaving me little choice but to shy away

    Oh Raven

    Oh raven you foul omen
Singing your song again and again
    Your wretched melody
    Humming through the wind
    Beating against my eardrum
Slowly shredding against the red thread of fate
Perched on my shoulder as you patiently wait
Watching as the thread is continually thinned
Sitting there, just singing your perish song
Wishing to drag us both to a place where I do not belong
Oh how long shall you beckon?
Oh how long shall your song peck away at the worms crawling under my flesh?
Your damnable whisper, so gentle and somber,
Yet with every verse I feel the air growing crisper
Every score eats away at my sanity
Unraveling the very fabric of who I am, as you continue singing note after note
Never satisfied until the day I drag a knife across my throat
But raven, do you not see?
Oh raven, surely you must know that I shall not allow your symphony to be the death of me?
For now I beseech you to harken unto the joyous song which I sing
    Praise unto the Resurrected King
The Divine Dove, who flew down from heaven above
Simply to grace me with His merciful love
Now the hope of salvation is within my reach
So away with your song of deprivation, oh raven
For now is the time for you to suffer my hymn
As I relentlessly give all glory and honor unto Him
May this sound be a torment, may your face be made grim
By the chords of a man now restored by righteousness’ blood
Because He has taken me by hand and risen me from dust to make me a king,
He has placed His Spirit within me, like placing on my finger, a ring
I am the beloved of Christ
Therefore I refuse to let you deceive me into thinking I am anything less
Oh, let this song be my shield as I sing it again and again
Now away with you raven, for you are nothing more than a foul omen.
