  • Salutations,
Personally, I agree with your viewpoint. Perfection is a fickle thing, outruns everyone. Your emphasis on authenticity and resilience is an appreciated reminder. A gorgeous reflective piece, bravo!

Your expression of finding beauty in the joy of the mundane rest day is relatable.
I think everyone can agree that a rest day in solitude is sometimes preferred after maintaining and surviving life. Nicely done!

    • thank you! having to learn to live with being mentally ill has made me realize all the beauty in the darkness and inspiration in everything “light” around us.

to quote dumbledore: “happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.” <3

  • Salutations,
I admire your courage and commend you for sharing. I hope the audiences you reach can grasp everything you convey within this letter to yourself and I hope you celebrate how far you’ve come. I think everyone can agree that being gentle and loving with yourself is of the utmost importance. For who will love us when the world doesn’t? And not to mention, we do determine where we end up, no matter the influence it is still our choice to follow our hearts, minds, or eyesight.
Your penmanship is lovely and how you’ve written with the tone to be gentle with yourself is heartwarming. I hope you plan to incorporate more in your future on the platform. I look forward to seeing it.

  • Salutations,
I am proud of who you’ve become and happy I’ve learned of your name. You may have faltered but you wouldn’t have gotten the knowledge you have about yourself without the falter. And the world has gotten to know your compositions. I am sorry you went through such pain, no one deserves pain. Especially, as a child.
Your writing style is exceptional but, I’m sure you’ve heard that before (They’re dense if they haven’t said anything).
I hope we can see more from you on our platform and I pray your dream happens (Especially, when you can enjoy what you sowed.), I’ll keep an eye out at Barnes & Noble.

  • Salutations,
I’m ecstatic every time I find someone that looks similar to me happy in their skin, or at the very least comfortable. History and its resentment have created insecurities for all types of walks of life and it’s very discouraging and depressing. I’m sorry that you went through that lesson at such a young age but, without it, there wouldn’t have been you and representation in your field for the future. Congratulations on going global (wink wink)!
I look forward to hearing more compositions from you in the future or seeing you in Forbes at least.

    • Oh Ari thank you so much! That is such an encouraging compliment. I’m definitely happy and comfortable in my own skin now. I’ve been very blessed to reach so many goals I’m just thankful. Hopefully Forbes notices me at some point lol. Im so glad to connect with such amazing people. Your kind words definitely made my day.

  • Salutations,
My condolences for your losses, I hope your healing is of ease and quick. I feel as if your letter is something some of us wish we kept in mind before it’s too late but more often than not, that isn’t the case. Unfortunately, we can only remember to treasure the memories we keep and hopefully remember to tell the ones we love how much we actually do love them. I’m sure your loved ones are proud of how far you’ve gone and they love you even more.
I hope you find more inspiration to create more pieces, this is very heartwarming.

  • Salutations,
Your letter has a powerful message and lesson written in it. I find it disappointing when plans don’t come to fruition but, I find myself enjoying living in the moment and it makes me realize that my plans probably wouldn’t have been half as fun as living presently. We forget that, especially overachievers and planners. I suppose, leaving space for life may be more beneficial than planning every inch of it.
I’m glad life hadn’t thrown you about too much and you’ve found your passion. We, lost folks, are still looking.
I hope we can look forward to seeing more of your lovely penmanship.

  • Salutations,
First and foremost, I hope I don’t offend you by saying this, but English is my first language and I still need work. My brain works faster than my mouth so I have a stutter and lisp for companionship in every sentence I speak. Writing comes with practice and reading. I recommend having a thesaurus and reading books that would seem “boring” or grabbing a high school reading list online. (Helps to make one sound smart no matter what speech issues one may have. Lisp and stutter included and approved.)
You’ve come a long way and considering you’re an immigrant, that’s a huge deal. I hope you remember that and celebrate that with your children. For without your past, your character development would not have happened. Your bravery, learning how passionate you are, creating strength from scratch, and more. Not many can claim what you’ve lived through, nor can they take these victories from you. That’s worth celebrating.
Here’s to many more victories and I look forward to seeing more writing from you!

  • Salutations,
I’ve always thought I was the oddball child in my family’s younger generation for not wanting to grow up. It’s comforting to know that others have similar thoughts and who caught on as quickly as I, if we grew up anymore that meant no more piggyback rides. “You’re getting too big for that.”
Currently, I still don’t like time but it’s only my second nemesis. Uncontrolled change is 1st place. Utterly disrespectful, those two.
Your writing is pleasant and I hope we see more from you.
