Thank you for sharing resources. I don’t feel this way anymore. I wrote this years ago but while I was going through all my work to make a collection I thought of it and was proud that I had worked through that tough time. So in case someone else reads this… I got here and they can too. -Harley
In this suburban California town
You can smell the cows
From the dairy down the road.
And you’ll drive past the baseball field
From the Minor leagues
And the hookup spots in between
The levy and the lake
It used to be so much fuller then
Up the winding mountain road,
I swear, I can’t go back
To 16, and the way I felt
When I almost tipped my feet
Off the rocks at the lookout
The feelings of deep despair
Even with the valley view,
Of 5 cities at 15,000 ft.
The lights sparkling
Calling to me
To dive headfirst.
Harley, I am so sorry you felt this way. If you ever feel this way again, Here are some resources theunsealed.com/resources. Thank you for being part of our unsealed family. <3Lauren

The grass isn’t greener
On this side of the fence
It’s dry and crunchy
When you take a step
Life over here is
Nowhere close, to perfect
But we’ve got lawn chairs
And the blender works great
Tiny umbrellas in our drinks
We have good music and
Morbid jokes
We have each other
When you don’t
One day the clouds
Will roll in
To water our grass
The drought will pass
Turning our yard back to green
But for now, we’ll stay here
In the scorching heat
Keeping each other company.
Aww this is such a sweet piece. There is nothing like a true connection with another human where simply being present in the moment with that person – whatever is that you are doing – is the best thing in the world. Thank you for sharing and thank you for being part of The Unsealed family. <3 Lauren
