Unafraid
I stare at a blank doc
The line blinks at me, teasing me
Taunting me
Daring me
Daunting meA heavy sigh escapes me
And warm arms wrap to embrace meI’ll write something amazing, he tells me
And i find it in my heart to believe
Not in myself, not yet,
But in the version of me he seesMy brow furrows
And i begin to type
As he smiles into my shoulder,
Fighting not to say he was rightI close the laptop
Set it off of the bed
And rest comfortably, listening
To the heartbeat in his chestFor this is where i am most content
But content does not begin to cover
The comfort and safety
Being under these coversContent does not quite express
How unafraid i am
Here, on his chestI stare at a blank doc
A prompt heavy on my mind
And all i can think of
