Like the babies of the Gaza strip
Unable to heal my wound
Unable to escape.

Fresh blood atop the scars
Left by the ‘67 riots,
Seneca Village,
Lake Lanier,
Tulsa. . .

My Black heart bleeds for Palestine.
I see my history in their struggle.
For them I hope a radical change.
And I pray not a present like mine.

My Black heart prays to free Palestine.
