Recently, I conducted several writing workshops at a high school. I was heartbroken by the number of teens battling low self-esteem. I would love it if you all would write a letter to teens about how you became more confident over time.
First join the group MENTAL HEALTH
Then, go to the Mental Health page or your profile page and start writing.
Here is a suggestion for an outline (You don’t need to use this):
Paragraph 1)
– Write about the insecurities you had as a teen. Share a memory that illustrates how those insecurities impacted you.
Paragraph 2)
– Write about what or who helped you build your self-esteem. Explain how you felt as you became more confident. Give an example of how more confidence positively impacted your life.
Paragraph 3)
What advice do you have for teens who are struggling.
By sharing your heart, you will help change the world. I look forward to reading your letters.
