Maya Angelou once said, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” I’m very happy to have discovered this inspiring website to also share my story and maybe leave someone just a little more inspired. For me, life has given me a great deal of wisdom through the trials and tribulations I’ve faced. Whether it was growing up in the projects, of which I have both good and bad memories, seeing one of my childhood best friends pass away, childhood bullying and, as a result, an attempt at suicide, moving around a lot, teenage depression, or in recent years, the deaths of my dad and brother, and more, I’ve got some scars. To live life is to face adversity, but you truly have within you the unyielding strength to face it. Your scars are simply the reminders that you fought, and will continue to do so with power.
