  • Peace Line

    Under a gossamer swan sky
    Our present meets the past
Mother and daughter travel the streets
    Of E’ire in old Belfast

The bright and brilliant azure sky
    Crisp and clear and clean
Dips down to gently touch varied greens
    The like we’ve never seen

    Murals depict the troubles
    Of Northern Ireland life
Rebellion hangs heavy in the air
    Reminding of the strife

The Peace Line had been drawn
    The wall still standing there
    Brother still fights brother
    From dusk until the dawn

    A country ever fractured
By a god that can’t be seen
    The rebels travel south
    Refusing reign of England’s queen

    Pavement turns to cobbles
On the Dublin streets we roam
From the North the Halligan’s came
We have finally found our home
