    Broken Valentine

    I’ve seen too many broken promises,
    Their effects are devastating on families.

    I made mine, knowing that I’d overcome
    Difficulties, heartache, and use compromise,

    Patience, and understanding to destroy
    All obstacles that try to be coy.

    The struggle itself builds a stronger
    Connection between us and helps us flower.
