  • ☕Oh How I Love Thee☕

    ☕Oh how I love thee.

Just the thought of you makes me smile.

Your fragrance brings me pure glee.

I can only be apart from you for a short while.

☕ Joe, I really love you!

A cup of you that is!

Oh how I long for the sound of your brew.

I love the energy you give!

☕You keep me warm on cold nights.

Just one sip is all it takes!

If it’s a hot day I can get you iced.

I will cry real tears if my coffee machine breaks!

☕ You are called by many names.

    Java, Espresso, even liquid gold.

When it comes to my coffee, I play no games.

Sipping a nice, hot cup of coffee will never get old.

    ☕You bring people together.

When you are around, it’s so easy to sit and chat.

I love having you near no matter the weather.

When I first wake up, I must have you stat!

☕A day without you truly makes me sad.

Some may even say they won’t survive the day without you!

Starting the day with you truly makes me glad.

If I wake up cranky, one sip of you makes me feel brand new!

☕I can bring you with me on the go.

Or I can simply enjoy you at home.

I will always love you, that much I know.

I will keep you with me no matter how far I roam.

☕You have always been there for me.

Through all my ups and downs.

Oh how I love thee coffee.

I will always keep you around.

  • Fear you don't belong here!

    Fear, you don’t belong here!

Since I was young, fear tried to come and visit me.

Whether it was being afraid of the dark…

Afraid of getting hurt by something I couldn’t see.

Or worried that once again I would feel rejected by those closest to my heart.

As I got older, I found ways to hide my fears.

Believing I was handling them on my own.

Pretending it was gone until suddenly it reappears.

What I thought I could handle, is now fully shown.

I thought I had it under control.

Truth is, it was the other way around.

By not truly facing them and letting go…

It caused me to remain bound.

What I needed to do was surrender my fears to God.

    Allow him to have control.

To realize that in order to be free, I must let go of the facade.

To take back the peace that the enemy stole.

What facade am I talking about?

It’s when you pretend to be free instead of facing it head-on.

It’s time to remove the mask, stop walking around in doubt.

God says you are free and not bound, his word you must stand upon.

In order to be free from fear, you must trust God completely.

    Embrace God’s truth about you.

When God created you, he created you uniquely.

When you accepted Jesus, he made you brand new.

You no longer have to fear what people think of you.

    You are fully loved.

God knows all you have been through.

He still says, my child, you are my beloved.

So take your stand this day.

No longer allow lies of the enemy to consume you.

    Jesus has made a way.

Your freedom you can walk into.

So no matter what the fear..

Know that God will give you peace.

It is your job to take authority and say fear you don’t belong here!

And the lies of the enemy must cease!

    • Christina, this is such a great message. I am so glad that your trust in your faith has allowed you to reevaluate fear. As you said, a lot of people like to just pretend they don’t fear something/fake it until they make it! This is helpful sometimes, but never truly removes the issue from our lives. I’m glad you have found what works best to…read more

  • Dreams really can come true!

    “Dreams really can come true”

*I often look back at my younger self and think, oh, if she could see me today!

If I had the chance to tell her what I know now, what would I say?

Things are much different now than they were back in the day.

*You see when I was young I didn’t have your typical dream

My life wasn’t always what it seemed

Some days all I wanted to do was scream.

*There were times in my life I didn’t think I was going to make it.

There were days where all I wanted to do was quit.

You see I had trauma that needed healing, but I never wanted to admit.

*I thought that I could do it all on my own.

I never wanted any of my pain to be shown.

So I thought, I had to go through it all alone.

*Truth was there was always someone by my side.

He stood there with his arms open wide.

All I had to do was lay down my pride.

*You see pride is a deceiver, it makes you think you can do it all.

Truth is it just puts up a wall.

Eventually you learn, that the burden is too much to carry, and you fall.

    *That’s what happened to me.

I fell down right on my knees.

Praying to God to forgive me, please!

*I had felt so worthless that I never thought I could be loved.

God said to me, my daughter you are beloved.

Your sins are forgiven because of his blood.

*Jesus gave his life so that I could be saved.

So that I no longer had to live a life of being enslaved.

His sacrifice and forgiveness makes me feel amazed.

    *So here I am today.

I stand here to say, all will be okay!

With Jesus, you will find your way!

*Your dream to be loved and to be free is available for you.

I’m here to tell you that you will make it through.

With God he makes all things new.

    *Dreams really can come true!

It can happen for you too!

So never give up on your pursuit!

  • Release and Be Free!

    “Release and be Free!!!”

*For most of my life I felt like I needed to control everything around me.

Truth is, all I really wanted was to be free.

I just didn’t quite know how yet, I was still blind and could not see.

*I was convinced that by being in control, I could decide my life’s course.

But we know that’s not how life works,

What I really needed was to plug into the source.

*Still, because of the trauma I had been through, I felt I had to keep myself safe.

Not realizing at the time, Jesus was my safe space.

What I needed was to remove the fear and take on peace in its place.

*I needed to learn to let go and release all my fears to God, to lay them at his feet

To release what I thought was control, so that I could have peace.

What amazing freedom I could have, once I was able to release!

*My journey to freedom I had to fight for.

But God said for you I have so much in store.

Areas in my life that were broken God said, I will restore!

*There will be moments where the enemy will try and tell you you’re not free.

That’s when you remind him of what God sees.

God says you are free and not bound and that is your decree.

*You see the enemys desire is to keep you bound and feeling defeat.

But we know the devil is under our feet.

With Jesus, our freedom we can reach.

*Your freedom is a choice you must make.

You must choose to release, choose to be free, choose that your freedom you will take!

*True freedom comes when you are able to let go.

Let go of all of your burdens and give God control.

Allow God in to heal you and make you whole.

*So choose this day to trust God and find your peace.

To let go, and let God, and let your weights be released.

Your freedom is waiting, all you have to do is lift up your hands and receive.
