Some spiritual practices instruct us to look to the world with abundance and kindness, so that the world will return that abundance and kindness. Your poem was a fun and enlightening read. Thank you for sharing

what you said about war and peace requiring different attire is poignant. That really puts into perspective what it takes to understand and embody either or both.

I think people make it seem like a person has to find peace once, but the reality is you have to keep finding peace in order to maintain it if that makes sense. That’s partially why the metaphor you used is so genius; we can’t keep the same armor on forever!

This perspective on life reassures me in a way I can’t really describe. The emphasis on keeping your head high while facing the challenges the world endlessly throws at us instructs us all on how to keep moving forward in a world where it’s hard to find purpose.

Thank you for not giving up on your love of writing, and thank you for sharing this with us. I find lyrics have a way of changing us even if we don’t listen close, but only when we pay close attention do we truly allow those words to affect us. Decolonizing your mind is intense work, and you’re providing example and inspiration for those of us on similar paths.
