here’s to a year
of feeling lighter
of practicing
& only pursuing the things
that set my soul on fire.

here’s to a year of intentionality
of manifesting my truest reality
and not settling for anything in “actuality”
here’s to a year of “no”
of no longer feelings afraid of taking my time
and moving slow.
– slow, intentional movements are the only way we can grow.

but also,
here’s to a year of “yes!”
of falling in loving
of trying to not add to my own distress
by avoiding the things that make me feel best.

here’s to a year of authenticity
of simplicity
of consistency
and only engaging in actions
that will lead to my prosperity
and ending 27 debt free.

here’s to no longer denying my humanity.

here’s to another year of peace
but in this one,
I will fully trust
and leave
indecisiveness
worry
and inaction
in tomorrow’s dust.

This year we are focusing on what matters: Our first car, home, and child. I also want us to adopt our siblings and take care of our mother. Some people might think this is a lot for someone in their early 20s to worry about, but this is what I want. This year we will be more disciplined because we won’t have anything if we are not financially mature. Money never held any importance to me until I accepted that I need it to do all the things I dream of. For our dream to become reality, we must take care of ourselves, our minds, and our money before we even think of caring for others or things. I truly believe we can accomplish all of this, I just need to block out all the judgment from others and myself and stop moving through life in fear. I wish I could be more like you. You help me realize I’m the best I’ve ever been every day, even on the bad days. You make me feel like I can do anything I put my heart and mind to. Because of you, I am unstoppable and I am thankful for every path you have guided me through and will guide me through soon.
