Timesha CrossonIn the darkness of night
I woke up from a vivid dream
A familiar connection so strong
Bringing peace, calmness, and happiness
It felt so real
Like I never wanted to wake up
Lying down here in my bed
I felt so safe
I realize
No matter where I am
I’m at peace when I’m asleep
When I awake
My heart feels happy and sad at the same time
That connection that I once felt before
What is that feeling
What is this emotion
Why I only feel this type a way
I can’t fall in love
I promise not to fall in love
Yet, I do when it hits 3AM
I guess when I’m asleep
It was easier to do so
But 3AM awake
I wish for my heart
To not be fooled

Timesha, this is beautiful!! My favorite time of day is probably around 5:30 AM. Waking up before everybody and being productive will always hold a special place in my heart! Great poem ☺
