    With You

    Every day the same
    Clouds and fog roll in and out
    Teasing with glimpses of light
    Tide ebbs and flows
    Flooded then not
    Steps like quicksand
    Sinking

    Do I want to know what day it is?
    If I do, I will know
    it’s one more day without you

    But if I
    Don’t move past the grey
    Then maybe I can stand still in time
    Lost in the mist
    And be with you
    Just an hour, a minute a second
    Longer
    With you.

      Robin, this poem is heartbreaking and so real. I don’t know who you’ve lost, but I can see how painful it is for life to continue to go on without this person. I hope that you continue to push through each day and eventually find peace. I am glad that you have memories to hold on to for comfort. Thank you for sharing your experience.
