Dear Sports,
Sometimes love comes into our lives early and easily. That’s the case with you. I remember meeting you around age four or five, but it could have been even younger. I lived on a cul-de-sac, and all the kids on our street would regularly play kickball in the circle. We’d play for hours, sometimes mixing in tag or hide and see […] View
@theunsealed Thank you so much!! 🙂 I appreciate your kind words. I’m new to the community and so happy to be here (albeit embarrassed that I misunderstood the picture upload of my submission lol won’t happen again).
@theunsealed Thank you for putting my poem on the board it really means a lot to me. And also for seeing and hearing me through this poem. Shame is a ferocious beast that we all can learn to tame. I see you and hear you as well Lauren. We are mighty warriors that get to tell our stories through our voices. I am grateful to this platform and we don’t have to shy away from our struggles, it’s what makes us stronger in the end. 😉
Aww I am so glad you like it here. We are happy you are here encouraging us, inspiring us and showing us love as well. What we go through in life I truly believe just shows us how strong and powerful we truly are. Thank you for being a part of this community! We <3 you!
@theunsealed Hi Lauren, thank you so much for your kind words. I’m touched that you found relatability with it. I would love to hear more about your stories watching movies with your dad. Thank you again, I’m glad to be a part of the family ❤

We mostly watched movies every sunday night when i was growing. When I was really young I used to cuddle with my dad on the couch, but at about 6 he told me I was too old. TO this day, he still loves watching movies with me. It’s an escape for him – a time for us to be still and be together. @abrill21
That is SO cute! 6 years is considered old? That’s literally when I started getting into my passion for film! What was your favorite movie(s) that you two watched together?
I am not even sure I have a favorite memory. I think it’s just overall spending so much time together in a way that was happy, peaceful and loving. <3 Lauren
That’s lovely. I’m glad you had that experience. <33 If I could go back in time I would want that for myself again, too. There's something about being a kid that makes life so carefree, but also so important at the same time.
@theunsealed Thank you so much! So much of me is truly because of her. It felt only right to share this piece of me with my future babies. It means the absolute world to me to love them how she loved me. Thank you for allowing this platform. My heart is so full <3
Aww we are so happy to have you a part of our family. And I am excited to read more of your stories. Your heart comes across in your writing, and it’s a pleasure read <3 Lauren
Thanks, @theunsealed!! You have such a beautiful heart & way with words.
I so know what you mean on how it gets expensive to visit Florida or anywhere, if you do not know anyone!!
I would love to offer you a place to stay once we get to connecting more & once I settle in at a new place. I need to move soon due to some circumstances that I need to really start considering for my future. It is very unhealthy where currently live (I live with two guy roommates) and sometimes one of them is toxic due to drinking too much when he’s home.
I cannot wait to keep communicating & connecting with you!!
My sign is Leo. My service dog is named Leo !! I LOVE that name. I am 100% Italian, so the name “Leo” just resonates with me. My great grandpa was also nicknamed Leo for short.
ALSO!!! Yes, the sand between my toes & also just being on the beach ALLOWS me to be PRESENT….something I really really struggle with lately, and I never let myself or allow any room for “self-care”.
Does it rain a lot in Colorado? I absolutely love when it rains if I am at home and doing some art or in the night when I am trying to sleep. It calms me so much.
And oh wow!! That is so cool. I have always wanted to connect with spirits especially those that I love whom have passed. I always wonder what it’s like to be able to connect. I feel like that would be so emotionally draining at times but so rewarding.
I just followed your TikTok!! I am trying to make it a goal to make my own art tiktok, but I only have one for my service dog and I do not post much on there because it is sooo hard to keep up with both Instagram and Facebook, and cannot imagine taking on another social media account to post content to 🙁 One day, hopefully!!!
Sorry again that it took me so long to respond. It will get better soon once I finish all my art commissions and all!!
Hope you are doing well this Sunday!!
That must be hard to deal with a roommate who likes to drink. I hope you find somewhere else to live soon who respects your space better.
It is funny that you say Leo is your sign because in natal chart my Moon is in Leo so some of my chart is fire. Which means you are a fire sign also. That’s awesome and I do look forward to connecting more.…read more
That’s so cool!! Zodiac signs are so interesting.
Yes, I really do need to take time for myself. I’m slowly starting to, I think. My mind is just so jumbled and all over the place.
I find inspiration in many places: Instagram artist reels of how they do their paintings or drawings so I can improve, I find inspiration in the sky when it sets or…read more

Sorry it took me so long to write you back. I was on vacation and then I just haven’t been on here too much. Going back to work after my vacation was interesting.
I would say that being an empath takes time to get used to because you pick up other peoples emotions thinking it is your own when it’s not. I feel that way all the time…read more
It’s totally ok!! I completely understand about needing to do self care. To be honest, I’m not in a good mind state at all, and I think I need to go seek treatment. I’m so scatterbrained but I can’t seem to allow myself to rest or do any form of self care at all.
I need to finish some commissions first though before going away because I need to…read more
@amazz94
yes, and honestly I have been not wanting to go on social media as much. I am sorry to hear about your state of mind. I am here to listen if you need to say anything to me. I know I am just a random person on the internet, but I have been there. Don’t beat yourself up too much and remember you are only human.
@telina27 @theunsealed
Hi Telina. I’m Jim. How are you? I hope all is well. I read your letter. I thought it was very impressive and well written. It had to be rough losing your father at an early age- regardless how he was towards you. And to hear your mom say she didn’t love you and your siblings ? That had to be rough. I’m sorry about that. But it sounds like it toughened you up. It Sounds like you adjusted very well. I agree with you about what you said about healing yourself and forgiving yourself and taking care of yourself. I think people forget about that sometimes. The zeal to help others is admirable, but I think sometimes people lose focus of themselves in the process. And that can’t happen. We have to take care of ourselves first. Have a great weekend. I look forward to hearing from you, Telina 🙂
@jim-c
Hi Jim,
I appreciate you taking the time to read my letter. I am doing great to answer your question. I hope you are also doing well. One thing I also learned is my family didn’t know how to approach emotions and expressing it was hard. My grandma also had a hard time saying I love you to my mom, so I see where the cycle was was created.…read more

Hi. Yes I’m doing well. Thanks for asking 🙂
That’s great that you were close to your dad. That’s great that he pushed you to go to college. It looks pretty clear That it paid off. Yes it seems writing can be a liberating thing for many. Me? I’m not much of a writer. At least in a professional sense anyways. But since joining the Uns…read more
Aww thanks Alex. You are too sweet and I am so glad we got to know each other over the past few years. And thank you so much for supporting @theunsealed It means THE WORLD to me.
Anyways, not sure if you read what I wrote, but to break the ice share the best compliment you have ever received. I shared a few of mine.
I like this challenge because it shows what’s meaningful to you and also how others perceive your strengths. Check out the ones I shared. They are really meaningful to me.
You can also write about our other challenges like what makes you proud and what is your favorite childhood memory. I also shared mine in other posts. I think you’ll enjoy writing about all the above.
Anyways, thank you of being a part of our community. And I can’t wait for all the wonderful people in our community to interact.
Hi Lauren. Thank you for the kind words. You are correct , everyone in those teen years has their insecurities. And even as adults. It’s weird w me. Like I wasn’t a total wallflower. If I was in a comfortable setting (doing something I felt comfortable at, talking to people I was comfortable with etc), I was quite social and outgoing. It was when I was more uncertain about things is when I would be more reclusive. Like giving speeches in class. One year at Kent, we had a group presentation on a Monday. The day before I was at the Browns game, and I was so anxious with anticipation I almost was sick. Then after we gave the presentation, immediately I felt better. It was unfortunate that I was that anxious. But I got through it. I should have done a shot of whiskey beforehand lol. When a girl liked me? Oh god. I was painfully shy in those situations. So embarassing. It’s a little different now lol 😉
You are correct. Being comfortable w who you are is a great feeling. I’m glad you did.
Have a great night Lauren 😊
