About me

The summer of 2001. I was bedridden, with a cast that didn’t allow me to move from my bed. I could see the three pins sticking out of my right toes. Stiches in seven places on my right foot, and a tiny spot on my left foot. This was the fourth surgery in my lifetime to fix my deformed legs, the greatest complication brought on by living with cerebral palsy. But, I was determined to walk on my own two feet. Nine months of physical therapy and almost a year later, there I was taking my first steps alone. My resiliency came to the fore.

My favorite quote

““People can change anything they want to, and that means everything in the world. ” ― Joe Strummer”
