Don't Doubt Yourself
To Those Who Doubt,
I know where you’re at. I’ve been there many a time myself. It’s easy to get lost in the crowd inside your mind called doubt. It’s easy to give up before you’ve even started. Having confidence in yourself is one of the toughest things you can do. I’ll give you an example of what my journey and career have taught me about doubt.
When I embarked on a sales career many people said I would quit within months. Trust me it almost happened. Somewhere along the way, the somewhat distant and aloof person I am realized I had to become more in tune with people. As I pushed myself beyond my comfort zone and near the cliffs of self doubt something happened. I became good at sales, I connected with my customers. My social awkwardness started to disappear. I beat doubt and the people who told me I’d fail stand in awe of what I have accomplished. I’ve had sales ideas become training templates at the companies I’ve worked for. I’m usually put in charge of training sales people at my jobs now because of how well I connect with people. Never let anyone stand in the way of you. If someone who used to be terrified of people can be successful in sales, I have every confidence in you reaching all of your dreams.
I want you to know that if you believe in yourself, anything is possible. After fighting doubt I achieved a lot of my dreams. I’ve sold over 6 million dollars worth of products now in my career. Your imagination is the only thing that you need. No matter where you want to go it will be there to determine the altitude you reach in your life. An old adage says that you should shoot for the moon and even if you miss you’ll land amongst the stars. I think that’s true of everything in our lives. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t, especially yourself. Failure is just a teacher and every no you hear just makes that yes feel so much better in the end. Remain open to growth and never turn down the opportunity to learn. You’ve got this, I’m sure of it!
