  • Hi Ella, I really enjoyed reading your letter to your younger self. I really enjoyed the personal story that you started off with. I think that everyone can relate to learning to read a clock and tell time for the first time. This story helped to show how your connection with time started. You also did this again with your candles so I thought it was a very unique way to tie everything together. The message of your letter is very important and showed that change and growth is okay even if it seems scary. Thank you for sharing!

  • I really enjoyed reading your letter. I completely agree love is so powerful and is definitely capable of healing. I loved the way you explained what love means to you and the type that you feel the most. Love is truly capable of saving people and getting them through their toughest times. You are so strong and it is amazing and inspiring that after everything you have been through you still see and find the power of love. Great letter!

Hi, I thought your poem was beautiful and I truly enjoyed reading it. I thought your word choice was perfect and everything fit so well together. Most importantly I loved the message of your poem. It really made me think about how important our actions truly are and how almost everything we do will somehow impact another person. It also reminded me of the saying put yourself in their shoes. If it was you that had to deal with the consequences of your actions instead of another person would you still do them? I loved your poem because it really made me think about my own life and how my actions can impact other people. Thank you for sharing!

  • I absolutely loved reading your letter. The impact that she has had on your life is clear and inspiring. I personally have two sisters and while we are blood-related I saw many similarities in our relationships. I would not be the person that I am today without them. They are the first people I come to for advice or even just to talk to them about minor inconvinces. I know that they will always be there for me no matter what and that I can trust them with anything . I look to both of them for different things and have learned so much from each of them. Wether blood related or not having sisters is truly something special. Thank you for sharing your letter.

  • Hi Gerald, I really enjoyed reading your letter to your teacher. Ms.Child seems like a wonderful teacher and the impact that she had on you is clear. I completely understand the feeling of needing to survive a class or just get through a subject until everything changes and you find a subject you are actually passionate about and this is always likely due to a special teacher. For me, this subject was English as well because it was the first time a teacher taught in a way that truly made everything click for me. Again I really enjoyed your letter. Great Job!

    • Thank you, Morgan. I appreciate that. I’m glad you enjoyed the letter. Ms. Child was incredible! That’s awesome that English became the subject that you would love too. It’s incredible when everything just clicks for you. It’s a beautiful feeling. I hope you had a lot of great teachers that cared about you and your education too.

  • Why You Should not let Fear ruin your Accomplishments

Dear someone who is about to give up,
I have just finished my freshman year of college. I have made many good friends and achieved good grades, and even joined a few clubs. However last summer if you told me that was going to be my freshman year experience I probably would not have believed you. My whole life I have had a speech impediment and for as long as I can remember my biggest fear was speaking to or meeting new people. It terrified me to have to put myself out there because I never knew how people were going to respond. And up until my freshman year of college, I was always able to hide behind my twin sister. Me and her are so close and do everything with each other because of this we had the same friends and I always let her take the lead on making them. When this happened I was always there by association or friends by the association at least I felt like I was. It was not until I was literally forced to go out at and make friends at school without having my sister by my side(we went to different colleges) that I realized I was even capable of this. So trust me I understand firsthand how scary things can be especially if they do not go the way you thought at first. However, I also understand how fear can hold you back and keep you from achieving your goals and dreams. Please do not wait as long as I did to let fear stop me from reaching my accomplishments

    • Hi Morgan,
You are so right. It is important to go beyond your comfort zone and experience new worlds. New people, new activities, and new places. Life is so much more fulfilling when you just go for it. I try to push myself every day to do something new and scary. I always find that what I thought was scary was really exciting. It is a…read more

    • Fear is one of the biggest things to hold us back. Because we fear the change we hold off on it because it feels unnatural and we don’t accept change because of the fear of not “going back to normal”. Thank you for sharing
