For Those who dare to dream

Everyone on the planet has a dream. Having a dream in our life is essential because it is through it that we set our objectives and strive to accomplish something greater in our lives. My dream seemed impossible at first, but its special to me. I’ve always wanted to study abroad. Not only was it my wish, but it was also my mother’s and brother’s wish. You wanna know why I said it was impossible? Because we seriously had no money for even little things which are really necessary for a human being. We were financially strapped. That made me decide not to think about my dream any longer. Because I don’t want my family to be further in debt as a result of my actions. So in my mind I gave up.
However, after a few years, I realized how essential that dream is to me. I need to make a difference in my life. I cannot give up easily… So I told my family about my dream. We came up with a solution as a family. I was helped by some relatives. I’m glad I talked to my family, and they were supportive. It had a positive impact on my life and my personality. I’m confident that it will have a positive impact on my family’s lives as well. I’m happy I took a chance to change my life. My dream might not be big for anyone else but it was, it was so big for me. My family’s financial position made me to quit my dream. However, I was confident that I would one day achieve my goal.

It’s okay if you need time to fulfill your dream, it’s okay if the situation isn’t in your favor, it’s okay if you think that it’s hard to achieve. It’s fine if it seems impossible initially. Giving up, on the other hand, is not an option. Try, try, and try a little more. Keep in mind why you started all of this.
Dear dreamer, I believe in you, and I am confident that you will succeed.❤️

    • OMG Mehr, I love this. I am so glad you didn’t give up on your dream. And everything you saw is so true. It really hits home. No matter who you are, achieving a dream is so hard. And reading your letter is such an important reminder of why we should keep pushing.

I know for me personally, chasing my dream has been really hard. I saw starting a business is like being dropped into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and being told to go find land.

But even though its hard, its the things that are the toughest to attain that we value the most. I am so proud of all you are and all you achieved and I am excited to see what you do next in life. It’s clear nothing can stop you.

Without a doubt, you inspire me. Thank you for sharing your story.

      <3 Lauren

      • @theunsealed Thank you Lauren. Achieving dream is challenging. That is the reason it is referred to as a dream. I want to encourage everyone to keep striving and never give up.

I fully agree. I launched three business, but none of them were profitable. It really is as though you have been thrown into the midst of the Atlantic Ocean. But then I say this to myself -I won’t be handed success by anyone. I have to grab it myself from outside.-

Thank you so much. I hope I can keep everyone here motivated. To those who are about to quit , I just want to say this. Please stop. If you’ve come this far, maybe you’re wiling to come a little further.. Take pride in how far you’ve come.
These challenges exist to help you become more resilient than previously.

Thank you to read my story.

    • I totally agree with you, Mehr. Dream Catching takes time I have learned that some people older than me have lost faith in their dreams; either saying I’m too old and I regret not having to chase my dreams, I tend to feel sorry for them. I wanted them to know not everyone can always grab a hold of their dreams but I’ve always questioned why haven’t they taken the time to reach their dreams, or what obstacle was in the way stopping them from obtaining their goal? I always tried to figure out things I dream about when my goals don’t entirely go in the way I wanted my plans to obtain my dreams. I often wonder how I can find the best way to pursue my dream; sometimes life just takes a turn and never goes your way. But, I believe that anyone can reach their goals if they have the mindset to try and work hard to reach that star.

      • I totally agree with you @kayjahlorde
I’ve seen people give up right when they’re so close to achieving their dream isn’t it sad?Life is unpredictable, and nothing goes according to plan. Maybe 5 out of every 95 times it goes right according to our plan. However, you must have a plan B 95 of the time. It’s not an option to give up. If anything doesn’t go according to my plan, I sit. I need to calm down and consider alternative options since there is no way I’m going back now that I’ve come this far. Then I realize a brand-new approach to achieving my objective. I believe it takes time and patience. And I agree that everyone can achieve their goals if they put in the necessary effort and never give up.
I’m happy to get a positive response from you. I hope you achieve all your dreams.

    • Dear Mehr,
I am so glad you took a chance and communicated your dream to your family. Sometimes “it takes a village” and in this case your village made a difference. I cannot imagine the happiness you felt when your family said yes. Studying abroad is an amazing experience. Lauren was lucky enough to do this and I think this experience changed her for the better. She came home more mature, more worldly and more appreciative of all the good in her life. I hope you get to experience may different countries in your life and the amazing diversity of people on this planet. I hope you are enriched by this beautiful experience and you go onto inspire other people to travel. Perhaps someday you will write a travel book with great stories and beautiful photographs. Perhaps a musician will be inspired by your photos and write a lively song. You never know where your travels will take you. Good luck!
      Best regards,
      Shelley

      • Thank you @shelleybrill you made my day. 🙂
They really made a big difference. I was excited when my family said yes but more than that I was anxious because I had to leave my family and handle things on my own in this new place. I’m happy Lauren took the risk and changed her life. I appreciate all of your blessings. I’m happy I came across this platform. I’m eager to explore new places and meet new people. I feel content after reading your reply. I agree that we never know where our adventures will take us. I appreciate your kind and humble words.

        • Dear Mehr,
It is so nice that we can support each other and connect on The Unsealed. I hope your studies in this country are exciting and interesting. I am sure you are a valuable asset to your classmates. Your view of the world will bring a fresh perspective to whatever is being discussed in the classroom. Perhaps this experience will open the door to other opportunities in travel and study. I commend you for being so open and very brave. You traveled quite a long distance to get to your destination. May your american education always serve you well.
          All the best,
          Shelley
