How can today be the perfect day?
A good day seemed days away
As I get up brush my teeth
I avoid eye contact with my reflection
Each time more bleak
Today will be different
I meet her gaze don’t be afraid
Proclaiming you are not weak
If they cannot hear you when you talk
Makes sure they hear you when you speak
Take it easy there is no race
Yes you were betrayed
You and I escaped
We broke free from the shackles and the chains
This is your daily reminder you are safe
No remedy to ease the pain
The past you is slain
her death will not be in vain
The beauty of deaths kiss
You can be reborn again and again
They have nothing to lose
You have everything to gain
The perfect day is being me
